We finally made it to our new home town, Lincoln, Nebraska.
We left on Monday, Monte and Rosco in the Uhaul and me and the girls my car following. We left at around 3:00 p.m. and about an hour into the trip we get stopped because a camper and a truck caught on fire, so we had to sit there about 30-45 minutes. So we ended up driving about 7 or so hours and stopping somewhere in Illinois and staying the night. We were all so exhausted from all the crying (on my part) and driving we were passed out as soon as our heads hit the pillow. We got up and left around 9 and drove 7 more hours to Topeka, Kansas to my in-laws to stay the night. Now the girls have done amazing this whole drive until about an hour before we got to my in-laws and A just had enough she was over it all. LOL but I turned on some Dr. Jean and VBS music and she was good to go. We stayed the night there and then left around 9 and got to Nebraska about 11:30 or 12:00. So we are here safe and learning our new town. Seems a lot easier to get around then Tuscaloosa I must say though.
The hardest part of moving was saying good bye to my mom and also our house. That house is all my kids have ever known. We moved there when LL was 10 months and A was born there, well not actually born in the house but ya know what I mean. =) My sweet momma broke my heart. I hate that I am taking her grand babies away from here bc she is just amazing to them but I have to do what's best for my family and go where God wants us. So far I am very happy here, around family and friends. And guess what we have babysitters lol that is where the girls are now for the weekend, my in-laws. That's pretty stinking cool!! =) RTR!
