But I am really happy how they turned out, I really wish I could learn to edit a little bit better but that will come with time and a class. Edward the Elf

Edward our Elf on the Shelf is back!! =) He returned Thanksgiving day. We found him fishing for gold fish with a candy cane in the potty. lol

He came to our family last year, we picked him up from the elf airport. The girls just love him and make sure they act extra good bc they know he has to report to Santa at night.

Anyways here are about 10 ideas that I did last year and have pictures of. =)

Edward had a movie party with a coupe of his friends.

Here he got "chocolate wasted" lol

He LOVES candy so here he is again getting into candy this time it was the girls left over Halloween candy.

Trying to bake some cookies but didn't go so well.

What's New....

Welp ladies and gents we are finally moved into our house and I must say it is beautiful and well worth the wait. I love every part of plus people it has a BASEMENT if you know me then you know this is huge for me.=)

What's been going on is my mom came up for about a week. We had a ton of fun and it was so nice having her here, I didn't realize how much I had missed her. It was the sweetest thing ever, in the airport when we were picking her up LL and I went in to get her well it was like the movies LL spots her and they run to each other with open arms. So sweet! We did so much, Boo at the Zoo, trick or treating, hair cuts, went out to eat, went shopping, moved in our new house and spent every second we could together. Then she left =( we did so good no tears well only from LL she woke up right before she was about to go in the airport and L didn't want her to leave. But she WILL be back December 8-13th! Miss you already mom!

So back to the house bizz... Started moving in on the 1st and have almost got it all done. I have been going non-stop since then. I get up around 7-8 start on the house, go to work come home work on the house until about midnight wake up and do it all over again. By the way not sure if I have mentioned but I got a job at a portrait studio in the mall part-time. =) So I am proud to say just a couple more things and the house will be done but for the most part it is! I will try to post some pics of it soon. Hope everyone had a fantastic Halloween.

Mya(my niece), A and LL ready for Boo at the Zoo!!

Pumpkin Patch

Kimmy Lou (M's aunt) treated us to a day at the pumpkin patch. Amanda (aka Panda as my girls call her) Kim, M's cousin Kelli and her son Brycen me and the girls all went to this huge pumpkin patch, I mean there were at least 2,000 people there if not more. It was a lot of fun though. We ended up getting balloons, face paintings, going down a neat-o slide, watching the pig races, feeding animals, doing the hay rack ride and buying some Osoyummy fudge-chocolate-candy apple. I'm telling you I gained about 10 pounds just eating that stuff, they law it was good. The girls loved it, as you can tell by the pictures I am posting. They were also really good. A got a little restless waiting in the hay rack line but with her only having a short 30 minute nap on the way there, she did really good. It's so nice living near family and getting to do all these fun things with them. I am so excited for the girls to get to know M's side of the family and I know they are enjoying it as well.

Now my mama will be here a week from today and I am so excited. I am missing her so much and can't wait to hug her and to see the girls when they see her. They love their Mimi that's for sure. This is her first time flying alone so please pray that it all goes smooth for her. =) Thanks everyone!!!

She had two pumpkins and they were both coming home with her... and they did. =)

Pretty little lady found just the right one!

LL and her cousin Brycen.

This neat spider web thingy was there to play on while waiting in line to get on the hay rack ride.

Sweet Brycen.

Enjoying the day.

Haha I love this picture.

And this one too.

These are actually backwards... this is when we first arrived.

More Pictures

I took the girls out again and took some pictures. I love color. Lots of color. So I dressed the girls in their matching hot pink/purple dresses and took them to this place a couple of M's family members told me about. It was beautiful. Color everywhere, beautiful fish in the pond and a couple waterfalls. Although it was rather hard to control the two bc it was me, myself, and my camera no one else no other help.=) But I think I got a couple good shots. Let me know what you think....

A Little Sprucing Up

Just a little something different, didn't change much ya know. Added a picture to the header and some more along the side nothing too fancy. =) Oh and I also added a "Follow Me" tab for Pinterest for those of you who want to. Come on I know you do, I mean I am so interesting and all! =) ha!

By the way as soon as we move into our house and get settled in and all I do plan to pick back up with the learning to cook and matching it with Disney movie night. It was a big hit in this homestead and did help me to learn in the kitchen.

Also I have a ton of crafts I have seen on blogs and Pinterest I am dying to try so once again when we get moved in I will try them and post about it.

Happy Wednesday....

I love Pinterest

Although I didn't find this on Pinterest (I saw something like this on a random blog and I cannot remember which) I have seen LOTS of things I want to try from the site. I even found a hair cut that I am hoping my mom does when she visits at the end of this month.

So anyways this was SUPER easy. Amanda already had everything we needed. The vase was a gift she got last month, the felt I had and made into the flowers, the clear thingys (she thought would have the right touch and she was right) she had left over from her wedding two years ago as well as the stuff to go inside the vase to hold it all together, and the sticks I picked off a tree in her front yard and she dipped them in left over paint she had. When you put it all together it looks a little something like this.....

Cute huh? I thought so too. I also made one of those "T-shirt necklace scarfs" tonight those are pretty simple to make and cute too! So anyways just something I wanted to share... Happy Wednesday Everyone!

Oh yea M totally got first shift yes you heard right FIRST shift 7a.m.-3p.m. I prayed so hard for that oh and to top it off his off days are Saturday and Sunday. The only other guy that has those days off is the Lieutenant. How great is my God!! I am super super excited about that!!

What's Happening...

I haven't really blogged much since we moved so just to fill everyone in on where we are at.

When we originally moved M actually had a different job, it was an hour away from Lincoln and all my Tuscaloosa friends know how I feel about being being that far away from town lol or any of my friends for that matter. So anyways once we got here it actually fell through so he looked for a week or so and had interviews until he got another job. He was chosen out of two hundred people yes 200. and it's here in Lincoln and it's more money and heres to hoping a good shift. He just started yesterday so while he is training we don't know his shift for sure. He had a really good vaca, about a month worth. So it was like God said ok Megan I have to get you to Nebraska first then once you get there I will work it all out for you. lol Oh my God is good!!

Then our other original plan was for us to move in with his cousin and his wife for a week two tops well God also had other plans for that as well. LOL We have looked and looked and looked and drove and drove and called and called until I couldn't stand it anymore and I actually got to the point where I hate to admit it but I was loosing faith about it until BAMMM we find the greatest house =) I am so in love with it so pretty and in a great subdivision (oh yea I'm talking about to rent we aren't going to buy for a while our last house did us in or well that's what I say for now) The only thing is we can't move in until the end of this month but that house is worth the wait. and I am SOOOO thankful that the Lord put TJ and Amanda in our life they have been so good to us and let us live in their basement this whole time. I feel bad for them though lol with these two chicks running around all the time ;) We will be out soon we love y'all!! =)

So that's where we are at right now a job and a house. =)

New State!

We finally made it to our new home town, Lincoln, Nebraska.

We left on Monday, Monte and Rosco in the Uhaul and me and the girls my car following. We left at around 3:00 p.m. and about an hour into the trip we get stopped because a camper and a truck caught on fire, so we had to sit there about 30-45 minutes. So we ended up driving about 7 or so hours and stopping somewhere in Illinois and staying the night. We were all so exhausted from all the crying (on my part) and driving we were passed out as soon as our heads hit the pillow. We got up and left around 9 and drove 7 more hours to Topeka, Kansas to my in-laws to stay the night. Now the girls have done amazing this whole drive until about an hour before we got to my in-laws and A just had enough she was over it all. LOL but I turned on some Dr. Jean and VBS music and she was good to go. We stayed the night there and then left around 9 and got to Nebraska about 11:30 or 12:00. So we are here safe and learning our new town. Seems a lot easier to get around then Tuscaloosa I must say though.

The hardest part of moving was saying good bye to my mom and also our house. That house is all my kids have ever known. We moved there when LL was 10 months and A was born there, well not actually born in the house but ya know what I mean. =) My sweet momma broke my heart. I hate that I am taking her grand babies away from here bc she is just amazing to them but I have to do what's best for my family and go where God wants us. So far I am very happy here, around family and friends. And guess what we have babysitters lol that is where the girls are now for the weekend, my in-laws. That's pretty stinking cool!! =) RTR!

Big Changes Coming To The Petersen Clan!

My big announcement is, drum roll please.............. The Petersen Family of Four will be blogging next week from our new home in Nebraska!

This has been such a long, on going process for the past month. Let me just tell you how good our God is. We have been trying to sell our house now on and off for the past two years. Well we decided that we wanted to move to Nebraska to be closer to Monte's family. Get this the VERY NEXT DAY someone called and made an offer on our house No lie people true story. So at that point Monte had already put a couple applications in but once we heard this news he was filling them out left and right. About a week after that we find out that there are two places wanting to interview him and listen here OVER THE PHONE so that he doesn't have to fly all the way up there. Ok so at this point all we are waiting on is to see if our house appraised for what we were asking for it which by the way the buyers offered full amount and we pay closing, which worked out great. So finally after waiting and stressing, because the whole time our realtor just wasn't very positive it would appraise for what we were asking since there has been so many foreclosures in our subdivision. So I am so on and off about moving ya know I have only known one home and that's Alabama, grew up in Florence moved to Muscle Shoals after high school then down to Tuscaloosa for the last 4 years. I start praying to God, please just give me a BIG "here's your sign" type of deal as if selling the house after two years of trying once deciding to move up there wasn't enough lol We get the call ok listen people this is AMAZING! Not only did it appraise for what we were asking but it appraised for $2,000 more. My God is GOOD ALL THE TIME! He said here Megan that should tell you this is where I want you and your family. And I couldn't be more excited to follow His plan. Of course I will desperately miss my momma and family but God knows best and I want to do it His way. =) And it makes me feel better that it appraising that much has also given my mom peace since she is having such a hard time with the move.

So now we are just waiting on a closing day, which was supposed to be Monday and now has changed so who knows when lol But we still plan to leave on Tuesday. So let's pray it happens then. It's all in God's time and well that's just fine with me.=) So I will be so busy packing and all I will not be able to blog until we move and get settled probably maybe I can sneak in a blog in a few days. lol We will see.

I want to add in.... I thank everyone for making our time here in Tuscaloosa awesome. We will truly miss you all and hope to stay in touch. And maybe I will be back to visit soon since family is only 2 hours from here and of course there is Bama football, gotta get back to a game. =) RTR!!!

Little bit of this and a little bit of that

Well first off let me just say I redeemed myself lol I tried to back a cake again and well why it's still not the greatest it's better then the last one. I tried to do like a two tier cake and umm let's just say my husband asked me next time to just do a single layer. LOL At least it is better right? Oh and I made chicken Alfredo (well the noodles and added the sauce the hubs grilled the chicken that's his strong point well everything in the kitchen is I just can't grill lol) and our movie choice was Wizard of Oz although LL is really the only one that watched.

I was totally going to upload a picture of the cake but for some reason, and seems it just started happening, but it takes like 30 minutes to upload one picture any help? But it let me upload these pictures that I fixed in picnik....

These are a couple pictures I took of the girls... They are getting so big. tear!

This picture, I totally got the idea from a good friend of mine and have been wanting to try the pose. If you need you picture made I highly recommend April Zark Photography! She is AWESOME!

A tried to do the same pose as LL =)

I am hoping next week I will have some big news to share with everyone. Stay tuned to find out... =)
