Christmas Fun!

Getting ready to go out in that freezing weather!

Again going out in cold cold weather!!

Telling Santa thanks for the gifts.

These are the ornaments Lynnlee made this year in preschool!!

So we left at about 7 p.m. the 22nd for Kansas. The drive there was good, the girls were very good Monte and I switched off driving. I ended up driving about 5 hours and Monte did the rest and it took us 12 hours in all. So we got there at 7 a.m., talked for a while then took a nap.

We went to Nebraska Christmas morning after we opened all the gifts that Santa had brought. We went to a couple family members house then out to Mahoney Park where we stayed in a cabin. Ok the weather there was ridiculous I do not see how people live in that kind of cold. It was 15 degrees there, oh and I was so mad because it did snow but it didn't stick and then it snowed a lot in Muscle Shoals. Oh well it was nice on one of the nights back in Kansas at my in-laws house we were able to get in the hot tub while it was snowing and it was so relaxing!! Anyways, we had some family come to the cabin the next night and had a cook out. It was so nice seeing everyone I know Monte misses them. No one would go ice skating or sledding with me lol I guess if I had to live in that kind of weather I would get tired of that stuff too. We went back to Kansas on the 27th and left to come back to Bama on the 29th but all in all we had a great time. Our niece Mya was with us from the 25th until we left to come back home and Lynnlee is crazy about her so they played their little hearts out.

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and has a Happy New Year tonight and be safe!!

Burrr It Is Cold Outside

Since we are not going to be in town for Christmas with my side of the family the girls got their gifts early. One of them being a Princess Jeep. We braved the cold yesterday to take the Jeep out and let the girls ride. First I had to bundle us up first... I bet we each had on four pairs of everything LOL put it this way I was so hot that it actually felt good to be outside and I have a feeling the girls were feeling the same way.

I think the Jeep went a little fast for Lynnlee so I had to put it on low to let her drive. Then I put it on high and drove the girls around as my neighbor was driving by, I know they thought I had lost my mind. lol I think the girls really had a good time and are really going to enjoy it when the weather gets warmer.

Adilynn's First Birthday Party

Adilynn doesn't turn one until the 30th but since it is so close to Christmas we decided to have her party on the 11th. We had it at my nana's house with just family. It was monkey theme also pink and lime green. So cute she wore a cute shirt that said Adilynn's One with a monkey on it and a pink and lime green tutu with bright pink tights. I think she had a good time and got some great new toys. She tore into her smash cake it was adorable. Although she got mad and cried when Monte smashed her face into it. I cannot believe she is already (almost) one. It seems like I just had her the other day makes me sad how fast she has grown but I do look forward to seeing her little personality grow, I think she is going to be a little comedian. I look forward to many more birthdays with this sweet little stinker! =)

Fun Days

I just love days like this. Starts by getting Monte and Lynnlee off to school/work then being lazy watching t.v. or internet for an hour or so. Cleaning, laundry, baths, dinner date with the "party of four" and to top it off Christmas movie snuggled together. =) Before dinner we met Monte at his office to which he was busy with a client so we had to wait a few minutes. In the mean time someone brings up chucky cheese. Great. So that is what we hear (in a whiny voice) for the next, what seemed hour, ten minutes. Finally forgets and once we get to dinner decides to dance in the center with everyone watching. I'm telling you this child will be a famous dancer one day! We end the night with Rudolph the Red-Noised Reindeer and Monte fell asleep in Lynnlee's room with her. Such a sweet sight, she snuggles up close to him and sleeps like a baby. Now time for Edward to make his appearance. Tonight I think he will be hanging from the light in the kitchen with Jesus and a note from santa reminding her to not forget about what Christmas is all about. Until next time....

By the way the picture is not from tonight but from Thanksgiving. I just wanted to add it on here. =)

Edward the Elf

This is our first year to do "Elf on the Shelf". My mom told me about and then I started hearing more about in on the internet. I went to Barnes & Noble and got it while Lynnlee was in school then went and picked her up from school but before seeing that I got the wrong elf. lol So once I pick Lynnlee up I told her we had to go to the "Elf Airport" to pick her elf up that Santa had sent her. (aka Woods & Water) I let her pick out the one she wants and we take him home. The whole way home Lynnlee kept asking is he real or just a toy? can I hold him on the way home? etc... So I tell her he is sleeping right now and will wake up once we read his elf book to him. Once we get home we read the book and pick a name Edward which Lynnlee calls Egward. Of course she wants him to talk to her and of course I had to re-read the book to her where it says he can not speak to her says Santa. I know it says kids cannot touch him or he will lose his magic but I decided to let him sleep with her bc she loves it.

So anyways we got him on the first so this is our seventh day to have him. It is working on her behavior. (although I think she was already in the starting stage of getting out of the "terrible threes" stage which had starting around the time Adilynn starting crawling) Once I say Edward is watching she says "I am being good see" then she smiles =). She has really started to get excited when she wakes up in the morning and I say lets go see what Edward is doing. So far he has been in both trees, a candle under the t.v., the remote holder (like a basket thing), he also brought back snow (which was actually flour that we made his little foot prints in) from the north pole, and last night he got a couple barbies, buzz lightyear, Jesus and her Suzie Bear (with Suz's Santa hat on of course) and got into my make up and some dress up clothes. Tonight I think he is planning on doing something with toilet paper, it will be something fun I'm sure. Monte seems to think I have lost it. LOL This is such an exciting tradition and I look forward to doing it years to come...

Random

I just realized I put "It's December" and under it is a halloween picture of the girls. LOL Well you know.

Funny things my girls have said... mostly Lynnlee bc Adilynn can't really talk yet. ha
-The other day Lynnlee was at school and Monte at work, Adi picked up his shoe and said "Da" it was pretty sweet.
- This was a while back but one of my favorites. Adilynn was in her crib and I was finishing up some laundry and she starts to cry so I ask Lynnlee to go sing to her until I am done she says ok and goes in Adi's room all of a sudden I hear "All the single ladies...put your hands up..."
-We were on our way to Lynnlee's ballet class and she says "Jesus birthday is on Christmas" I said yea then she sees a man walking down the road and she said "I don't like him" I said why she said "bc I can see his hair".

It's Demember!!!

Well I haven't posted anything since June 1st so about six months ago. A lot has happened since then. Let's see Lynnlee turned three in June and she started preschool, we went to the beach in July and September and Kansas/Nebraska in July. We had a blast on all our vacations. The girls went on a plane for their first time and absolutely LOVED it, they were the best kids on the plane not a sound. In June Lynnlee started her awful threes but thank the Lord has came out of that this month. She has been so good. We welcomed "Elf on the Shelf" to our family yesterday and his name is "Edward" aka Egward. We read to him and talk to him and Lynnlee makes sure she is extra good for him to tell Santa. We have been all about Christmas since Thanksgiving, Christmas movies, decorations and songs. I love December it makes me smile! We will be in Nebraska this year for Christmas and Adilynn's first birthday. I cannot believe my baby will be one. She has such a personality, very happy and loves to laugh. She can crawl, walk along things, wave byebye, say moma, dada, and sis, wrestle with her sister and laugh until she can't laugh anymore. She got into an ant bed on halloween and we had to take her to the ER. It scared me to death, turns out she was fine but looks like she will have lots of scars. She got bit about 50 to 100 times it was crazy. poor baby. The girls had a great time on halloween, Lynnlee was Bell (from Beauty and the Beast) and Adilynn was a duck. Monte's mom was here the week before halloween, she usually comes on halloween but wasn't able to make it down at that time this year but at least she was able to be here close to it. We went to sorority row, and our neighborhood two different nights. Lynnlee was also in gymnastics this summer and now she is back in ballet. She loves to dance she told me the other day "mom when I get big I am gong to be a dancer, a good dancer." LOL she is such a sweet thang!! My nana had a stroke a couple months ago and it was very hard on her but I am glad to say she is doing amazing. All the therapist have been bragging on her about how awesome she is recovering. I love her to pieces and can't wait to see her back to doing it all on her own. And how can I forget football... We went to the State game with TJ and Amanda they came down to visit for the weekend we had a blast!! Well I caught everyone up on most of everything and maybe will remember to update sooner then every six months. Until next time.... Happy Holidays!!!!

Lynnlee's Ears!

We finally done it. We got Lynnlee's ears pierced. There was only one woman there so we had to do one ear at a time. Before we got started she was all excited sitting up in the chair like a big girl, little did she know what was about to happen next. So after they did the first ear she realized this wasn't going to be fun. She cried of course and so we had to wait a few minutes to let her recoup. Poor baby =(. Then she was ready for the second ear, cried again but so glad it was over. She ended up loving them. She was so excited and I think she looks so adorable! I'm glad we decided to go ahead and do this.

Ballet Recital

Lynnlee had her first ballet recital this past Saturday. She did such a good job, I was a proud mom for sure. She wore make up and my mother curled her hair as she says "like the girls do". I was actually nervous for her lol and when the curtains opened she didn't even care that there were no telling how many people watching her, maybe a performer one day? I wasn't able to video during the real thing but they let us video during the dress rehearsals which I did and then later somehow deleted it on the camcorder trying to show it to Lynnlee. I was beyond mad at myself but I did get her doing the dance on my camera a few times and a friend tagged me on facebook of them during dress rehearsals. Anyways my mom and mother-in-law came down to she her which she loved. Afterwards we gave Lynnlee six red roses for doing such a good and of course she loved that. Then we all went out to eat at Browns Corner by where she performed. Here are some pictures of the day...

Playing Outside

We love this weather... not too hot and not too cold. Yea we are a little behind technology but are just now getting wireless internet we have had high speed but I like this a whole lot more lol. So I am sitting outside in the back in Monte's "man area". He put a t.v. out here and fixed it up he cracks me up. So anyways I am out here listening to the radio and watching Lynnlee play on her swing set while Adi sleeps and I must say this is so relaxing. Although I do dread those very hot days during the summer where you can't really be outside unless you are in the water of some sort or otherwise you will have a heat stroke ugh.

Today should be a very good day. Lynnlee has her first rehearsal at the Bama Theatre for her recital on Saturday. She is going to be just so dang cute. We decided to put her in gymnastics this summer and then back to ballet at least until next year when she can really tell us what she would rather do. I just think she REALLY loves ballet, the teacher and all her friends there. I just cannot believe that she will be three in less then two months. Where has the time gone? Adi had her four yes I said four ugh month check up Friday and she was already 14lbs 8oz and 24 1/2in. She is in the 75th percentile another biggin' lol What is it with us and big kids. haha Anyway there will be pictures to come after Lynnlee's recital on Saturday so for now God Bless...

The Barnyard

I took Lynnlee and Adi to the Barnyard and Lynnlee LOVED it. She was able to ride a pony, hold baby bunnies, chicks, ducks and turkey. She also rode on a boat she really enjoyed that part. But her favorite was the playground lol it was no different from any other one but she wanted to play on it from the time we got there. She actually was able to get in and pick up the bunnies it was so cute. Adi was a good baby like always. We went with some friends we met through tuscmoms.com, April and her son Aidan. Afterwards we went with them to chick-fil-a and let the kids play in the play area, which again Lynnlee loved. That chick-fil-a was my favorite by far. Not only was it very clean but had diapers and cheerios outside the bathroom which I thought was awesome. All in all it was a very good day and we cannot wait to go back.

Catching Up!

I haven't been on here in a while so I thought I would catch everyone up to date. Adilynn is now about a week away from 4 months, I cannot believe it has been that long since I have had my bundle of joy. She is such a good baby, she will just smile at you all day if you talk to her. She looks just like me =) which I love bc not a thing about Lynnlee is me. She also sleeps very well which i am very thankful for, usually 9 p.m.-6 a.m. Lynnlee will be 3 in about 2 months now i really cant believe that my baby girl is growing up. =( She is a character. She for sure keeps us laughing. A few weeks ago I was doing the laundry as Adi started waking up from her nap, so I told Lynnlee to go sing to her while I finished up. So I go on trying to hurry when all of a sudden I hear "All the single ladies... put your hands up" I about lost it she is hilarious. She says and does the funniest things like I don't know where she comes up with some of this stuff. She is in ballet right now and absolutely loves it. Her recital is coming up and I am just so excited to see her dance. Monte and I are doing pretty well also, just really looking forward to vacations this summer. I will try and keep this thing up to date....

Adilynn is here!

We had Adilynn on December 30, 2009. It was a fast pretty easy labor. The only had part really was when the doctor went to break my water, I was so scared that I made it almost impossible for her to do so. I went from 3 cm dilated to 6, to 10 and pushed for about an hour and a half. When they first laid her on my chest I looked at her and immediately thought "she looks just like her big sister" I instantly fell in love with her. So beautiful and such a great baby. She weighed 8lbs 12oz and was 21 1/2 in. That night we watched the Nebraska bowl game and Adi must have been good luck bc they won. We also spent New Years Eve in the hospital and we kept Adilynn until 12:00 and then had her go to the nursery so that we could try and get some sleep before coming home. At about four that morning I was waken by the nurse saying that Adi had a little accident, she chocked on some mucus and couldn't catch her breath. It scared me to death. We thought we were going to have to stay an extra night but thank the good Lord she did amazing the rest of the night and the whole day before leaving and she checked out fine. We came home to my mother, grandmother and big sister Lynnlee. "Adi" brought along a gift for her big sister so we watched Lynnlee open it. We had a great first night at home. Adi is now 6 weeks old and is the best baby. She is gaining weight very fast and is starting to look just like me. Can't wait to see what kind of personality she will have.... but I am NOT rushing her to grow up fast by any means ... =)

She put her hands on her hips and said "cheese"
